i. Apply addition and subtraction of fraction in Word Problems.
ii. Apply comparisons of Fractions in Word Problems.
Let us together solve the word problems.
EX- 2.1
Q4. A rectangular sheet of paper is 12 1/2 cm long and 10 2/3 cm wide. Find its perimeter?
Q8. Michael finished colouring a picture in 7/12 hour. Vaibhav finished colouring the picture in 3/4 hour. Who worked longer? By what fraction was it longer?
ASSIGNMENT:
DO Q 6 OF Ex 2.1
ALSO
EXAMPLE 1: 3 Painters completed 2/5, 1/5 and 3/10 of a work each on 3 consecutive days. Find out which painter did the most work in the 3 days.
EXAMPLE 2: The length of a rope is 13 1/5 m, out of which 9 1/2 m of rope is used for fixing a banner. Find the length of the remaining rope .
